myself (I am the main writer, I also film), my boy Matt who founded Ballislife (he films and edits), my dude Arek (he's our main editing guy, also films) run it. Also, the best young video editor you'll ever meet, Tyson Johnston aka Domino.. The site itself was designed by Vincent Da, who runs Red Apples (legit. That's all you need to know, haha). If I had to say who started it, that's obviously Matt. Then Arek, then myself. And Tyson is a helluva add-on

The Birth of a Star . . . Right?

Two games into an NBA season, it's hard to call anything. Championship-caliber teams lose a couple of games in a row, benchwarmers will drop 30, cellar dwellers will stun a top squad. It's hard to judge anything, and sometimes we get real indications of the future, and sometimes it's more phony than a M… Continue

In Honor of the Number One Pick In the 2009 NBA Draft

By Moose

Blake Griffin is a fireworks display.

When you watch a game where number 32 takes the court, you know that for some people there will be excitement. And those who aren't excited can't help but appreciate it, watching a great basketball player. Much is the same with fireworks. They look great, sound great--excitement for all, even if certain people don't like seeing it very much (going with the basketball metaphor, if you're a fan of the opposing team, for example).

Grif… Continue

A Guard's Worst Nightmare

By Moose

The center takes a swift entrance pass to the post from the off guard positioned on the wing, and he gets position, battling with the opposing big man for position. Realizing that he doesn't have a prayer of getting the ball in the hoop that way, he kicks it back out to the swingman, who scans the court, deciding on his maneuver.

Noticing the shouting shooting guard on the opposite side of the court, a quick two-handed chest pass finds it's way into the waiting shooter's steady… Continue

An Open Letter To The NBA

By Moose

To the storied National Basketball Association,

I have been an avid basketball and NBA fan since before I could remember, and I have supported the league and it's players during the good days and the bad ones. You could call me a diehard fan, you could call me a hardcore fan, you could call me a serious fan or you could call me any other word that has a meaning similar to "great fan of the league".

I have loved, respected, hated, worshipped and resented many players thr… Continue

Ray Allen: The Ideal Superstar

By Moose

A quick stutter-step. A shift of weight towards the basket. He blows by one man. He drives to the hoop and sees the seven-footer waiting for him and notices that he's funneling him left. The dribbler goes left anyways even though it's his off-hand, showing complete confidence in his skills to make the layup on the more uncomfortable side. He comes to the big man, puts it up with his left hand while shielding the ball, positioning himself where he… Continue

He does slow down and run the offense. His teamates aren't as athletic as he is. The guy has great control of the offense and unreal basketball IQ for his age and experiance level.

Jennings should be a all star this year. He's a winner and had brought a winning attitude to the bucks. And they have the right coach.
